3-Ingredient Treat

Try this special homemade 3-Ingredient PEANUT BUTTER BANANA dog treat that is perfect for your pups and is human-friendly too!

GRAB YOUR INGREDIENTS!

You'll need:

• Super Ripe Banana (the riper the better!)

• Natural Peanut Butter (no added oils, sugar, preservatives, or flavoring. Please!)

• Gluten-free old fashion rolled oats (or you can sub oat flour instead)

THAT'S IT! No added sugar, no rising agents, no oils, no gluten, no surprises.

The method is simple (and fun to do with the kids). You just smash everything together in a large mixing bowl until you have a workable pliable peanut butter-y dough.

Add more peanut butter if your dough is dry and crumbly. Roll the dough on a floured surface. Aim for 1/4" thick. Cut the dough using fun shapes (like dog bones!) Oven bake for about 15mins. Cool and ENJOY!

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 pounds ground turkey
  • 3 cups baby spinach, chopped
  • 2 carrots, shredded
  • 1 zucchini, shredded
  • 1/2 cup peas, canned or frozen

DIRECTIONS:

  1. In a large saucepan of 3 cups water, cook rice according to package instructions; set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large stockpot or Dutch oven over medium heat. Add ground turkey and cook until browned, about 3-5 minutes, making sure to crumble the turkey as it cooks.
  3. Stir in spinach, carrots, zucchini, peas and brown rice until the spinach has wilted and the mixture is heated through, about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Let cool completely.

Once you've made your batch, you can divide them up into single servings, note the date, and freeze it. When ready to serve, you can defrost it in the fridge overnight and nuke it for 15-30 seconds. That's it!
